Hello All!
On Thursday, September 11th, we will be holding a general meeting in VC 4-190 from 12:40 to 2:20. Light refreshments will be served.
At our previous meeting, we discussed our upcoming events for LGBT History Month, which will be taking place in October.
We also discussed the formation of a committee that would be involved with the planning and logistics of the events throughout LGBT History Month and possibly in the future. Meetings of the committee are expected to be about 30 to 60 minutes long. If you are interested in joining this committee, please send us an email with the times that you are available to meet up to discuss the events.
On Thursday, September 25th, the school will be holding its annual Club Fair from 12 to 2:30 P.M. in the ARC Complex of the Vertical Campus (Level B2). We will be hosting a table at the fair. If you are interested in volunteering some time at the table or have any ideas for what we can present at the table, please contact us at baruchglass@gmail.com or leave a comment on our website at http://baruchglass.blogspot.com. Any time or help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any other questions regarding this information, please feel free to contact us.
We hope to see you at our next meeting and Best Wishes!

About GLASS
GLASS is a group that has evolved through history.
In 1977, it was originally founded as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance of Baruch College, or GALA. It served as a support group and safe haven for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students at Baruch College. The group's purpose was to educate and create a tolerant community in the college. It served as a social club, an educational club, and a political club.
Throughout the years, the group evolved to become a gay-straight alliance, as many friends came to support their fellow students.
In the Fall of 2007, to mark this transition, the group was renamed The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Society of Baruch College, or GLASS. Today, after being in existence for more than 30 years, the group still provides a safe haven for all students to express their feelings and strives to build a tolerant community at Baruch and to bring more awareness to students about the LGBT Community.
